Gigabit Networks is a high-growth Internet Service Provider, specializing in gigabit-capable connectivity for residential homes and businesses across the Midlands, UK.

We are looking for a pro-active, organized and eager to learn individual who can work alongside our core team to understand, develop and optimize our digital channels via our website and CRM systems.

Gigabit Networks sits in an ecosystem of tech brands under the 4 Oceans Ventures umbrella, alongside global marketing consultancy Tollejo & telecommunications provider Skyline Wireless.

The individual will be carrying out projects and tasks across these 3 main brands and therefore will require experience in web development, IT, computer science or similar. It is also critical that the individual has a demonstrated history of taking initiative and has excellent communication skills.

 

You will work on:

  • The development, maintenance and optimisation of websites across the 3 brands
  • Streamlining user journeys and business processes through automation
  • Supporting other strategic, marketing and operational projects requiring web development
  • Integrating website functionality with CRM’s such as ZohoOne and Active Campaign

 

Essential skills:

  • WordPress, specifically (but not essentially) YOOtheme
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with ZohoOne or willingness to learn advanced practices
  • Experience of browser side languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, Angular and Vue 
  • Experiences of server side languages such a PHP, ASP, Python or Node 
  • Experience with API integrations and webhook
  • Able to meet short deadlines with excellent time management skills

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience of databases including SQL or MySQL
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and tech industry 
  • Familiar with CX and UX concepts 
  • Familiar with agile development, test and learn, design thinking concepts 
  • Has a degree in computer science, web development, IT or similar

 

Structure: 

  • 3-month internship  
  • Monthly stipend of £500 
  • Minimum / expected 20 hours per week 
  • Working in a small agile team, initially remotely 
  • The founders are involved in other start-up projects, which may lead to further roles and responsibilities on different projects.
