Department: Network Connectivity Product Management and Software Engineering

Summary:

The Technical Product Director, Cloud Connectivity is responsible for leading the development and delivery of our cloud connection solutions. This includes working with customers and internal cross-functional teams to define requirements, design features, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the public cloud ecosystem, as well as experience in product management, software engineering, network engineering and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Define and prioritize CloudLink technical requirements in alignment with business goals and product roadmap
• Manage the CloudLink multi-cloud connectivity roadmap and ensure that it is aligned with business priorities
• Working with sales team, customers, and partners to determine digital quoting, order and automated delivery experience and features in combination with the UI/UX team
• Writing engineering analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, then flipping the script and explaining product trade offs to engineers, all the while keeping scale and long term viability in mind with trade offs for faster execution
• Creating technical specifications, scope, and capabilities with the software engineering, product and Salesforce administration to determine feasibility and creating a holistic technical view of how to bring a product or feature into the customer portal
• Conduct market research and identify new opportunities for cloud connectivity innovation
• Evangelize CloudLink solutions externally and gather feedback from customers, sales, and partners on customer experience to continually refine and improve
• Advocate customer feature requests and needs internal to different stakeholder groups
• Assist with development of testing and deployment plans
• Measure and report on Cloud performance

Qualifications:

• The candidates who will excel in this role probably have a CS degree, a solid background in some combination of software engineering, network engineering, or sales engineering, and naturally gravitate towards planning and creating amazing products
• 6+ years of experience in product management, software engineering, or sales engineering
• Strong understanding of public cloud ecosystem and network connectivity (IP/IP VPN, Waves, Ethernet), having worked directly with many
• Experience with one or more of the major cloud providers performing API integrations and/or deployment automation of compute, security, and network configuration
• Strong working knowledge of layer 2 (Ethernet, 802.1q), layer 3 (IP, MPLS), and network concepts such as transit, peering, and transport
• Experience working within Salesforce and directly with the Salesforce API
• Proven experience in prioritizing development activities, writing requirements, and producing continual product improvements
• Experience with product requirements gathering, design, and implementation
• Experience leading cross functional engineering teams, and collaborates well in a team environment
• Experience with Atlassian and agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
