About the role...
As a Senior Telecoms Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of our telecoms support team, taking ownership of reported issues or faults into our helpdesk facility. Your responsibilities will include initial diagnosis, deciding the appropriate course of action, liaising with suppliers if required, logging faults, and communicating with clients to fully manage their expectations. You will be also be mentoring junior members of the team to enhance a learning and mentoring environment. Ongoing product and business function training is offered and encouraged.
Location: Crewe Business Park, CW1 6BD
Salary: Flexible dependent on experience, from £30,000 +
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
What will you be doing?
• Responding to IT and telecom tickets as they are logged
• Attending customer sites to troubleshoot faults
• Installation of IT hardware and telephone systems
• Supporting the wider team with knowledge and best practice sharing
• Supporting the junior team with escalation of faults & resolving where possible
What do we expect of you?
• Experience in a busy customer support/customer service/service desk environment is desirable
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.
• Experience in liaising with multiple third-party suppliers.
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with Avaya IP is preferable, or similar
