Location: Hybrid between our Manchester Office (2 days a week), home and customer site meetings

Salary: £45,000 plus up to £6k car allowance, and double On Target Earnings with commission accelerators from 101%  and over

We are looking for our customer first, Senior BDM/AM with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets in the ISP, MSP or telecoms industries, over multiple year.

The Role

This role is responsible for hitting Revenue, GP targets along with other KPI’s to support The Client  in fulfilling its growth ambitions and plan. The role allows this to be done by generating new and additional business via existing customers, and also by targeting specific verticals or territories to uncover and close new logo opportunities. You will also have warm leads from our already developed and proven lead sources that will support you in achieving your targets.

What you must have:

The attributes we ask that anyone considering this position should have include are:

  • A customer first and can do mentality in everything you do at work.
  • A proven track record of constantly hitting and exceeding sales targets of similar services in the ISP, MSP, Telecoms industries.
  • Someone who strives to perform above the standards of their peers and competitors
  • Experience in either a similar or more senior role with evidence of over-achievement, but either way with the ambition and motivation to now take a step forward to advance your career.
  • An innovative approach in your customer service/sales approach technique; always focusing on finding the solution.
  • You have a solid working knowledge of the ISP market and complex internet solutions (MPLS, SD-WAN, Ethernet, AI-WiFi) but you can break it down and explain it at any level.

Bonus points:

Experience that is not essential but that will support you in being successful more quickly would include:

  • Existing relationships with businesses or contacts who could potentially have a requirement for The Client  services.
  • Success working for a similar sized growing SME business

More about key responsibilities  

  • Arrange meetings with a range of clients to understand their opportunities, challenges and IT projects, positioning how The Client  can support and add value.  
  • Complete Account Development plans, setting objectives for mitigating risk and uncovering new opportunities across a variety of different accounts, and increasing our profile within our clients.  
  • Establish a core focus for prospect activity (territory/vertical market) 
  • Build the go to market message and proposition into your target market 
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of sales opportunities that will support the delivery of monthly sales targets.  
  • Propose and present products and services to customers in a well structured, professional manner, overcoming objections and closing business successfully. 
  • Qualify opportunities stringently with key decision makers   
  • React quickly to any inbound leads to qualify, quote and convert sales opportunities   
  • Support marketing campaigns by proactively uncovering new logo opportunities (via LinkedIn, personal networks etc) 
  • Understand and position the full The Client  portfolio across Connectivity, Voice and Security 
  • Generate dependable pipeline cover at 3:1 of the Monthly Sales Target 
  • Continuously update CRM
