Position Description

EU Technical Administrator is responsible for supporting Transport & IP Senior Engineers in their day to day job and recurring tasks, working alongside infrastructure program manager and business development teams.

Responsibilities

●  Support Transport & IP Senior Engineers on new deployments and capacity planning

●  Creation of interconnection orders to the implementation teams

●   Business Development project kickoff review on a weekly basic

 ●   Detailed Infrastructure design from qualification of BizDev requirements and conceptual outlines.  

●   Technically aligning EU transport architecture/strategies with EU Senior Network Architect Teams.

●   Updating Infrastructure Program Managers and Product regularly on current inflight infrastructure projects.

●   Organise and coordinate with all internal organisations for the timely and accurate implementation of large, complex projects that are often run in parallel with other projects at different stages in implementation.

●    Interface directly with key internal stakeholders communicate implementation schedule, on-going project status whilst creating a feedback loop back to future infrastructure projects.

●   Capacity management/planning on the shared Wavelength network and IP network 

Other Responsibilities

●   Capacity management/planning on the shared Wavelength network and IP network related to your projects and as required trigger, manage, and deliver infrastructure new upgrade projects to maintain the capability to deliver customer services.

●   Project Kickoff with Operations Teams once reviewed.

●  Handle/Resolve internal process limitations and escalate for management attention where necessary.

Qualifications

 ●   Experience on capacity management  

●   Experience on Optical Transport technologies. 

●   Experience on IP network and capacity management

●    Thorough understanding of datacenter fiber cross connects, fiber types, structured cabling and DC Space & Power.

●   Good clear understanding of fiber network routing (diversity, latency & fiber types) 

●    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

●   Effective prioritisation, organisational and time management skills (essential) 

●    Ability/willingness to operate in a fast-paced, demanding environment

●   Desire to grow within the company

 ●   Logical/Analytical/Critical thinker 

 ●   Microsoft/Google suites Excel/Sheets & Viso  

●   Familiarity with Google earth and working with kmz’s 

●   General Computer acumen

 ●   Experience working with Salesforce.com  

●   Experience working with Metasolv (M6)  (desirable)

●   Sense of humour - a must!
