About the job

The successful candidate will join our existing development team, and will work to improve the look, feel, and usability of our existing products, as well as helping us build future products and internal tools. It’s a small team so you will have a big impact, as well as having the autonomy to solve problems in whatever way you feel is best.

We’re looking for someone who’s really willing to take ownership of their work, and who has the confidence to trust their judgement and take ideas and run with them.

You will need experience building front-end and back-end applications with JavaScript and Node.js, and HTML and CSS should be second nature to you. We use a lot of React + Redux, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with both libraries. You will also need experience consuming and creating RESTful APIs.

This role will involve working closely with the wider DevOps team to improve existing CI pipelines, and containerise new applications going forward, so experience with technologies like Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms would be beneficial, although not required.

We’re true to our values and we’re looking for the right candidate who respects and represents these in their work:

  • Openness
  • Fairness
  • Innovation
  • Independence
  • Influential

This full-time, permanent position is ideal for someone who has some experience working as a developer, but is keen to learn and take their skills to the next level and be part of a vibrant development environment.

We’re looking for someone who’s really willing to take ownership of their work, and who has the confidence to trust their judgement and take ideas and run with them. The ideal candidate will have a passionate interest in web technologies and web development, be keen to learn, and enjoy experimenting with new technologies, libraries, and frameworks.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. The autonomy you’ll have, alongside the support you’ll receive from the rest of the team, means that the you will really be able to develop your skills, learn with us, and shape what the future of our products looks like.
