Position Description 

Zayo is seeking a FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. The team provides organizational stability and cohesion by providing the business with performance analysis, scenario analyses, commercial approvals, operating reviews and guidance/audit on day to day business activities. The candidate must possess diverse experience and interests in all functional areas of a company to be successful in this role. This role is a hybrid manager and individual contributor role with three analysts reporting to them. Responsibilities 

● Prepare and maintain in-depth analysis and reporting of financial and business performance 


● Own the preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly operating reports 


● Advise local Leadership on operational and business changes to improve financial performance 


● Assists the close and forecast cycles with local knowledge, research and insights 


● Act as a process and finance expert for the entire organization and all functions to ensure the organization is educated on and aligned to goals and objectives 


● Can communicate and train others on a business proposition or organizational philosophy 


● Advanced ability to translate contractual provisions and complex business transactions into financial and accounting figures


● Provide modeling and business case analysis expertise for commercial and inorganic activities including: building and maintaining models, education, and ensuring that investment returns are meeting expectation 


● Maintain data fidelity in our financial databases 


● Can test the strength of our systems and existing automation to find new opportunities for operational and financial efficiency; can create and lead an IT project to completion 


● Can teach and train financial and accounting principles to non-finance and non-accounting staff 


● Review the capital spend expectations of the business and work with commercial, business development and operational staff to provide forecasting and performance insights 


● Can have advanced communication with Executives and leaders in other functional groups; viewed as a partner to the business 


● Provides ad hoc support to solve complex problems 


● Other financial and operational analysis and duties as needed 


● Requires being a liaison with US-based staff; non-standard hours may be required on occasion 


 


Qualifications 

● Telecommunications experience given preference, but not required 


● Experienced professional of 10 years or more 


● Strong English required, preference given to multilingual candidates 


● Strong financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions 


● Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation applications 


● Professional demeanor 


● Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively 


● Attention to detail is a must 


● Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills 


● Must be self-motivated 


● Ability to maintain confidentiality of information when needed
