BT is looking for an ambitious, strategic sales professional to join our Messaging team within Division X.

What is Division X?

Division X is an exciting new unit within BT which encompasses our specialist portfolio businesses, unique market-leading products, and future-focussed solutions for enterprises.

About this role

As a Solution Sales Professional, you will understand customers’ unique needs and underlying business issues to optimise existing and create new tailored Messaging solutions.

You will be equipped with the relevant support and development to establish your understanding in order to effectively engage in sales opportunities.

The role requires strong architectural knowledge within the Messaging product solution specialisms.

You will be responsible for aligning closely with Account Management teams to build strategic sales plans, valued customer relationships, develop pipeline, achieve regional sales targets, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will act as an ambassador for internal and external market stakeholders, building strong relationships to support our customers and promote Division X’s products and capacity portfolio.


You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Build tailored solutions that meet and exceed customers’ business needs, delivering RoI and leveraging solutions across the division portfolio.
  • Manage and exceed financial targets for our combined solution capabilities
  • Maintain a broad architectural knowledge and have opinions on leading and emerging technologies, to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with finance and pricing to understand the P&L in detail for the customer solutions being sold to ensure margins on all deals are maximised and component pricing parameters are aligned to market expectations.
  • Create a robust pipeline
  • Drive a high level of customer satisfaction and advocacy across the customer base
  • Retain existing BT business and develop and grow new revenue by developing and driving sales plans with Account Managers.
  • Define and develop peer and executive relationships with the virtual teams and wider BT and EE.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of sales performance
  • Willing to travel and work from Customer and other BT sites.
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to build, forecast, pipeline, achievement, P&L details, deliver and execute a plan for sales.
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen.

Experience

  • Track record of delivering against targets in a sales role
  • Managing change and prioritising multiple demands        
  • Experience using industry recognised sales methodologies
  • Familiarity with the relevant specialist sales portfolio
  • Experience of working in large, dispersed matrix teams
