We are currently recruiting for a Database administrator (SQL) to join our team here at TelXL, we are a communications business working in a very high transaction environment dealing with large volumes of data on a daily basis. We work within the contact center environment and creating unique reports will be required on a daily basis in order to enable our end users to have the strongest insights into their own organization.

You will be working with various stakeholders including the Tech Ops, Product and Account management teams to deliver services to customers in a real-time environment. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining on-premise hosted Microsoft SQL Servers, and you will be a key member of the team enabling TelXL to transition into the cloud. 

No experience of Cloud based work is required, we are open to taking you on that journey with us as long as you are open to learning!

Job Purpose

• Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability 
• Monitor and analyse database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilisation of database systems/processes
• Highly skilled in building reporting tools and data exports to enable “Bring Your Own Reporting” services to customers
• Be a key stakeholder in moving from on-premise to cloud based systems

We will need you to have strong skill in Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, security admin, performance analysis and tuning.

As this is a real time, high transaction environment you will need to be a real trouble-shooter used to handling large volumes of data, always looking to rectify issues as quickly as possible and build a resilient long-term solutions to mitigate risk.
