About this role

As a Commercial Pricing Professional, you will work with the Commercial Deals team to enable pricing and agreements are enabled for the wholesale market. Knowledge and implementation of product pricing on data products, primarily Broadband, is required.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining pricing framework, based on market insights and regular analysis of external benchmarks and market conditions. Utilising your commercial acumen and performance insights to assist with Broadband strategies across the Partner and Channel sectors.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the pricing details for Broadband, one of Wholesale’s key strategic products.
  • Involvement in pricing and deal modelling capability for pricing/deals to Partner and Channel Wholesale customers.
  • Source and maintain broadband pricing.
  • Develop commercial broadband deals for the Partner & Channel customers.
  • Develops pricing frameworks to enable effective decision making at pace
  • Analyses volumes and trends for pricing outside of frameworks and makes changes to framework to ensure the parameters reflect requirements
  • Understanding the customers and markets and the competitor environment to enable effective pricing for the Broadband product category
  • Accountable for modelling effects of competitor pricing and drafting what if scenarios
  • Competence in modelling and data mining to help construct pricing framework for Broadband
  • and the different permutations to enable effective decision making
  • Recommends intervention activity
  • Recommend nonstandard deal pricing for Broadband market
  • Involvement in pricing for all Broadband products for the Wholesale market

You'll have the following skills & experience

Skills:

  • Utilise commercial  acumen to drive financial performance and what we need to dial up and dial down to maximise performance.
  • Strong influencing skills to drive commercial initiatives for the Sales segment and working across the Enterprise functions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and with customers. 
  • Quickly identify an issue and pro-actively seek to resolve either through engagement of individuals or teams where it falls outside of this role’s responsibility.
  • Use complex data analysis to show underlying principles, process or systems improvements
  • Use collaborative or agile test and learn approaches, contributing to projects and programmes as a subject matter expert or content owner
  • Provide expert advice on subject expertise building rapport with stakeholders as a trusted advisor

Experience:

  • Proven experience in Commercial or Pricing and Propositions
  • Strong understanding of Wholesale market dynamics
  • Commercial acumen, highly numerate and analytical
  • Experience of deal constructs

Preferred:

  • Stakeholder Engagement at C Level/Senior Manager internally and/or with partners
  • Experience in delivering against commercial KPI’s
