To best tackle this role as a BDM, you'll delve into new opportunities every day, and you'll always be striving to identify new prospects across the B2B sector.

We're looking for ambitious, driven people who have a passion for delivering customer excellence, working to achieve the best for our customers, colleagues, and partners.

You will be responsible for the delivery of new customer acquisition targets and sales order values within a dedicated area from our defined portfolio of mobile, fixed, hosted and IT products and services. Keeping up to date with market developments and customer insight will be needed to contribute to the wider Field Sales strategy.

 

Your Key Responsibilities as a BDM

  • Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities for Mobile, Hosted and IT Services
  • Establishing customer requirements and selling products from our digital portfolio (Office 365, MaaS360, McAfee, Box)
  • Working to monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Arranging and hosting meetings with clients via MS Teams for product demonstrations
  • Creating and maintaining own self-generated pipeline by cold calling/referrals
  • Management of the full sales cycle from lead to close
  • Establish key internal and external relationships to support your sales plan
  • Support & implement the new Business team launching propositions into the UK SME market

 

This is a field-based position where you will be mostly out on the road visiting with potential clients. You will also be required to regularly attend our Swansea Office where you will have access to your very own office setup, demo suite, video conferencing room and team environment. Depending on your distance from our Swansea Office will affect how often you visit the office, allowing you to work from home when not visiting with clients or attending the Swansea Office.


 

Required skills as a Business Developement Manager

 

  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience within the Telecommunications or IT Sales industry

 

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be a great negotiator and influencer

 

  • Ability to work independently with focused self-motivation

 

  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.

 

  • Good Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook knowledge.
