Azure DevOps Lead 

Azure DevOps Engineer / Azure DevOps Consultant / DevOps Lead / Azure Certified Expert / DevOps Engineer 


Up to 6 months Contract 

This is a hybrid working role – ideally a minimum of 2 days in our Redditch offices a week. 

 

We are currently looking for an Azure DevOps Lead to join us here at TelXL on a 6 month Contract. You will be responsible for auditing and assessing our current cloud infrastructure, making recommendations where necessary, as well as designing, implementing, and documenting best practice guidelines for a cloud infrastructure in the Azure environment. Your expertise will be instrumental to ensure our infrastructure meets performance, scalability and security requirements aligning with our modernization goals.


You will be the go-to for mentoring and guiding internal team members, supporting them by upskilling and enhancing their Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure management skills.

Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience within Azure DevOps or similar, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure management and mentoring Dev Ops engineers in best practice.  

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive solution architectures that will enable applications to have exceptional operational qualities such as high availability/performance, seamless integration and high quality/reliability.
  • Review current cloud infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Implement robust security measures, including identity and access management, network security, encryption, and monitoring.
  • Upskill team members to ensure security measures are maintained.
  • Oversee the development and automate deployment pipelines, leveraging Azure DevOps tools and technologies, suggesting improvements and best practices. 
  • Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data protection requirements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
