About this role

As an Account Manager, you will be a mobile sales professional, responsible for representing BT, selling its products, services, and bespoke managed service solutions to BT Wholesale Markets Mobile Customer Base.
You will be expected to have a strong understanding of BT’s mobile products and managed services portfolio and understand customer requirements to be able to offer solutions tailored to their needs.


The role requires a customer focused, strategic thinker with excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
You will be a key driver of growth of revenue and profit, managing day to day relationships at all levels in the customer organisation.
This role involves significant stakeholder management, requiring exceptional customer relationships skills.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of sales of products/managed services in an established mobile customer within UK.
  • Ensure that we have accurate contact information for the account and drives access to insight and improvements to the overall experience.
  • Cultivate and maintain key customer relationships at senior levels, ensuring customer contact is kept high.
  • A comprehensive understanding of BT operations and evidence of leveraging in support of optimising customer satisfaction within a mobile operator environment
  • The holder of this sales role will be responsible and accountable for an all New Business and Share of Wallet (SoW) budgets associated with a specific BTW MNO customer.
  • This is a sales role and will be fully focused on increasing BTW’s SoW and delivering on our New business commitments to increase our overall Revenue and Margin vs. our budgets
  • Manage Salesforce, ensuring that all contact information is current and accurate, and any data issues are resolved in a timely way
  • Service line management, forecasting and meeting and exceeding revenue and margin KPIs.
  • Keep informed with the latest sales developments and contributes to the functional strategy by applying this within the organisation

You'll have the following skills & experience

Skills

  • Ability to establish and develop value-based relationships with key influencers and decision makers within a mobile operator organisation
  • A demonstrable ability to work independently in developing sales plans and customer contact strategy in support of new business sales success
  • Able to engage at a senior management level both internally and externally.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of mobile or data centre network sales experience
  • A track record in taking personal ownership of addressing customer issues and requirements in a mobile operator environment
  • Managing high value accounts
  • Experience of driving virtual teams to deliver necessary business results. Comfortable working in a matrix team.
  • Edge Computing experience (desirable)
